Nathan completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology with a minor in psychology in 2019 at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Despite being a recent graduate, Nathan has vast amounts of experience in the field of strength and conditioning, active rehabilitation and general health & fitness ranging from professional athletes to the clinical population.
Highlighting his work experience, Nathan has instructed seniors through healthy aging and injury rehabilitaiton. During his undergraduate degree, Nathan had worked with professional athletes from the Vancouver Whitecaps as a medical intern. In addition, he worked as a studentstrength & conditioning coach for UBC Varsity Athletics, where he was involved in the coaching of over 600 varsity athletes across 25 teams.
Nathan enjoys working with individuals from all age ranges, with different rehabilitation or fitnessgoals. Nathan is trilingual in English, Cantonese and Mandarin and his passion lies behind improving and aiding in the well-being of others. Nathan also understands the importance of mental health and well-being and its role in active rehabilitation and exercise. He understands that mental well-being can play a significant factor in an individual’s rehabilitation progress. He also believes the importance of patient education to facilitate rehabilitation progress in and out of the clinic.
In his spare time, Nathan not only enjoys spending quality time with the people that are dear to him, but he is also a competitive powerlifter that likes to play the guitar once every so often. Nathan is also an avid soccer fan that follows all European leagues.

Originally from St. John’s Newfoundland, Nathan has followed his passion for human performance and personal improvement to the University of British Columbia and the Marpole Clinic. Currently entrolled in his third year of study in the School of Kinesiology, Nathan joined the Marpole team in April of 2018 as a Kinesiology Co-op Student. Having sustained multiple injuries over the course of his own high level sports participation, and experiencing the journey of rehabilitation first hand has fed Nathan’s interest in human development and his desire to help a range of people pursue their personal goals; whether an elite athlete or an older adult to maintain independence. Aside from academics, Nathan enjoyrs strength training and exploring Vancouver’s outdoor food scene.

The City of Vancouver and the Province of BC are now in a state of emergency as a result of COVID-19. Marpole Physiotherapy is now closed from 7 pm March 18th until Sunday, March 29th and will re-open on March 30th at 7 am. This may change but this is what we anticipate. At this moment in time the safety of our staff, patients, and families, and the greater community is our priority and we are following the requests from Health officials. Patients with urgent needs are invited to email or call us as our physiotherapists may be able to help you on a case by case basis. We will also be reaching out to patients shortly with online physiotherapy service options. We want to stay in touch and be a support during the next few weeks as we all self-isolate. We will be available by phone or email and will endeavor to get back to you ASAP if you leave us a message. I want to let each of you know that atthis point in time we have had no reports of any patienst or staff with any COVID19 symptoms, and are closing purely as we feel it is our civic duty to do so.
