Jarris was born on Vancouver Island and as he grew up discovered he had a natural talent for working with his hands and a deep desire to help people; it was just a matter of time before he found massage therapy.  He graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy’s 3000 hour program in New Westminster.

Jarris has studied exclusively with Armand Ayaltin, DNM, RHT, RMT, the originator of the Systemic Deep Tissue Therapy®, in order to perfect his practice of this therapy.  Systemic Deep Tissue Therapy® focuses on changing holding patterns in the nervous system that have been learned and stored in the body due to living, stress, posture and injury.  It works within the framework of the body, treating three dimensionally to re-align the compensations at the route dysfunction rather than solely treating the prevailing symptoms that one may experience.  Systemic Deep Tissue Therapy® is an effective system of all comprehensive musculo-skeletal-fascial therapy that helps the body to become optimally realigned which restores muscle tissue function, at any stage of pain (acute or chronic).  As well, lifting skeletal pressure off internal organs thus improving overall body health.

Jarris has a strong passion for helping you with your goals and he is confident in his ability to provide an effective treatment plan just for you.  He prizes himself on communication and understanding of your concerns, and is dedicated to creating positive therapeutic relationships with all his clients.

    The City of Vancouver and the Province of BC are now in a state of emergency as a result of COVID-19. Marpole Physiotherapy is now closed from 7 pm March 18th until Sunday, March 29th and will re-open on March 30th at 7 am. This may change but this is what we anticipate. At this moment in time the safety of our staff, patients, and families, and the greater community is our priority and we are following the requests from Health officials. Patients with urgent needs are invited to email or call us as our physiotherapists may be able to help you on a case by case basis. We will also be reaching out to patients shortly with online physiotherapy service options. We want to stay in touch and be a support during the next few weeks as we all self-isolate. We will be available by phone or email and will endeavor to get back to you ASAP if you leave us a message. I want to let each of you know that atthis point in time we have had no reports of any patienst or staff with any COVID19 symptoms, and are closing purely as we feel it is our civic duty to do so.
